ditto.
I lost my beautiful greyhound annie to osteo sarcoma in nov.
if you want to email me. I am happy to go through everything I experienced and also what I know from other grey owners on sighthound specific forums.
It does seem greyhounds are very prone to this and i suspect it comes from the many injuries they suffer from the tracks.
Huge hugs to you and i hope i hear from you as whatever the outcome you will need a lot of support even if it's only an ear to bend.

Hey all

Its been a very long and emotional, exhausting day so i'm going to make this quick....

Thank you all so much for the support, i really appreciate it and so does little paddy.

Paddy has had a ct and a thin needle respiration (? I have heard alot of technical terms today and they are starting to swim around my head!!!). The vets says ct is good, no signs of the cancer anywhere else... Her leg is very bad, she has a large painful lesion growing on her bone.

She is going in thursday for amputation which we feel is her best chance, she will be out of pain, the vet says if its the worst type of sarcoma she could only have 3 months. Best case scenario 12 months or possibly more. We have to try, she is otherwise happy and healthy. They will start chemo once the amputation is healed.

Thanks for reading and thanks again for your support. Sorry if i dont reply this evening i'm exhausted!!!

Xx clare and paddy xx

Thanks Vicki, it wasnt really a decision, they said if she keeps it the leg could break at any point, its so weak, its just too risky. I'm trying to see it that getting rid of her leg means getting rid of her pain, even just temporarily. X
