although the two may not be connected,i think you would be very wise to get this growth properly checked out.my worry is the size of it,if it gets any bigger it could prove more difficult to remove if needed.
re him being out of sorts,a full physical exam and full biochemistry and haematology blood test (which can be run in 5 mins if they have on site facilities)would put your mind at ease.
hope things are sorted soon.

Such a worry when you know they aren't right but you can't put your finger on it, I think it would be worth the lump on his head being investigated just so you can rule it out or find out for sure what it is and then if it is ruled out you can move on to other things it could be. Hope Monty is going okay until you can get him sorted.

I think you are very wise to get it checked out, Boxers are prone to lumps and bumps, warts and cysts etc.

Sorry I missed this thread previously...I hope that he will be ok but I think you are wise to get him checked, at least it will put your mind at rest or, god forbid, prepare you if it isn't good news.

I have everything crossed for your beautiful boy. xx

I think you are right to have it checked but I have met a boxer before with a birthmark there. Same size and appearance as Monty's. She is called Princess as they thought it looked like a crown when she was a pup.

Hope the tests go ok.

Thank you to all those who have given advice and wished us luck. It's much appreciated and apologies i've not replied sooner.

Will be ringing the vets tomorrow and getting him booked in for this week so fingers crossed.

Hi Esme I haven't replied before because I don't really have any advice to give but I hope all goes well with Monty and that he is soon back to his usual bouncy self.
