Diets for dogs with cancer

As you might have read on another thread, Roxy has a mast cell tumour in her leg which is to be removed. We don't know the grading as yet.

What I want to know is there any type of diet I can give her that might help her?

Any special foods? Supplements? Anything at all?

Some of you might have experience of this.

Thanks.

I never altered Star's diet after she got the mct removed.

The only thing I did was add 1g of ester C into her diet as it is a natural antihistamine and should in theory reduce the amount of histamine circulating in her body.

Thank you. Roxy has a good diet at the minute but once she's had her treatment, I will do this, I think.

Its definitely worth a try especially if they can get good margins as then Roxy won't actually have cancer anymore.

Has anyone got any experience of grain free diets for this kind of thing? Would that be of any benefit to Roxy? Not that she gets a lot of grains, but she does get some.
