fox hounds RIP

Thanx to Tony Blair he has just ordered the wonton destruction of all the fox hounds in this country.

I have seen what a fox can do to livestock and it's not a pretty site but the amount of foxes caught by the hounds is miniscule.

ALL the traditions of this country are being outlaw'd because of the namby pamby's who are listened to over everyone else and because of this we are becoming a Nanny state.

I'll get of my soap box now.

i agree that for pest control (and not just for fun) it should be allowed to continue.
It is very sad for the fox hounds, they could never be rehomed after the lives they have had would not (i imagine) allow them to live domestically (sp!)

fox hounds do not make pets even if it bought from a puppy. The instinct to chase and kill is to strong to cope with domestic life.

This is the sad part of banning hunting!!!

I was completley against the bad, I support the Countryside Alliance but I wont go into it any more as I feel it may be for the "Heated Debates" and I dont want drawn into it again.

As someone who has campaigned against hunting for years this is great news. Hounds can if the hunters will allow be rehomed I have friends who have between them 10 hounds and they have all made great pets.

That depends on whether people are willing to take them on as pets too Wiggle a bit like the problem they have with ex-raching greyhounds and finding them homes I can bet you it will be 10 times harder to rehome a working dog..... anyway there are enough dogs in rescues at the moment without all these dogs too
