Thanks Moyra still waiting. not sure how long it takes to put a roof rack on, get gates on it, and load up the rest of stuff.
He is only round the corner from us so not far to drive.

Lynn, pleased he showed up...at least you have the gates at the very least.
There's a woman staying at the house behind...the house has a dormer window and she keeps standing staring, I was in the garden just now on the phone to Steve and the dog started barking...I looked at where the dog was looking to find this woman stood staring, I turned the air blue! If I see her, she will get a right mouthful...every house here has their rear windows covered by nets or voille so everyone has privacy... except that house and next door, why is my life so bloody interesting to people!

Hi all.

Quite a nice day here if a bit on the chilly side.

Lynn, I'm glad the guy finally turned up and I hope his workmanship is better than his timekeeping. Fingers crossed for you.

Kelly, many moons ago, we lived in a terraced house which directly faced the house across the road. The lady who live there had what can only be described as a fetish for cleaning her windows inside and out. Whenever I was sat in the front room, there she was gaily waving across the road. It drove me absolutely nuts, but the problem was her hubby was a friend of my hubby. In the end, I put up some fairly thick net curtains

I was sat in my back garden...we all have voille or nets up at our windows because we all like our privacy!! When the plans were submitted for the new roofs, no mention of a dormer was made..it was a later addition and we weren't notified, to be honest, it hasn't been much of a problem but this woman..gawd!
