Glad you had a nice walk Kazz and hope it didn't rain on the washing.

We love the fireplace but the fire is not a real log burner or multi fuel just electric that looks real when on. We will most likely not use the heat part as it gets pretty warm in here with the heating.
It has all been done more for effect and to do something nice with the chimney breast rather than leaving it plain, plus we do miss the big fireplace at Upwell.

We are the same Lynn. We have an electric fire and surround for effect, but if the heating needs a boost, we put the calor gas heater on in the hall as that heats up the whole bungalow, not just the living room.
