winter planting

well I have some really lovely three tier planters, that are full of bloom at the mo,see piccie.

so was thinking what should I do with them for winter planting, was thinking along the lines of ivys, winter pansies, but what else,I seem to be really getting in to gardening this year,I have two of these to plant up,and they are whoppers,so any advice would be gratefully recieved

Very pretty,
I have ivy in two of my winter ones and was going to try some hostas with them this year,so i have some green all year round and some flowers from them in summer, hopefully the slugs and snails won't be able to get to them so easily either !!!
Cyclamen looks pretty and winter heather.
