Where's the difference or are you just saying this because it involved fox hounds ?

One is a result of a deliberate human act the other isn't (hopefully)

I fail to see your reasoning ! Why is hunting with hounds a deliberate act ? They are out of control obviously as no huntsman in his right mind would want the hounds to kill a domestic pet.

I admit that I love to see the hunt and the hounds dressed for their only legal avenue - the drag hunt, but I fail to see where the difference between this and a man walking his dogs ( legally but out of control ).

Please explain !

Read the article - this was a fox hunt which is still legal in Ireland. Therefore the hounds were deliberately sent out to kill by the huntsmen.

I doubt the man walking his dogs deliberately set out for them to kill

I dread the thought of running into a hunt, I am still haunted by the story of an elderly man whose rough collie was ripped to bits in front of him, it was called Simon.

I had a few words to say to a lady who planned to bring a hunt down our footpath, she couldn't answer if my deaf cat caught unawares would be safe. Obviously he wouldn't. Half the time they don't even know where the dogs are.

Further to what Brierley has said, I think killing animals 'for fun' is vile and repugnant! And anyone found doing so should be prosecuted.

This incident and the many, many more similar incidents are a good reason why fox hunting should remain banned and the Law enforced more rigorously.
