Cotoneaster - how to propogate?
I have Cotoneaster growing like a weed at my new house and will have to do some serious pruning.
However, the planning regs (and my own inclination) require me to plant a hedge along the front boundary. The old cottage which this one has replaced, had Cotoneaster doing just that but it was all destroyed during demolition.
Therefore, it seems logical to transfer some from where I have too much, to the front boundary and create the new hedge.
Is this possible? How should it be propogated????? Or do I need to dig up the surplus, roots and all,and transplant it??
