Anyone live in Carlisle?

As most of you know we intend to move back there soon, but it is 2yrs since we lived there and things change!

I am appealing to any Dogwebber who knows the area to please help me. I need to know which areas to avoid buying in! Which have high crime etc? Where is nice now, where would you recommend to live?:smt023

North of the river was always the popular location but prices there seem to have shot up!
