I have added those of you who have said you would like to be a greeter to the system so it will randomly choose one of you, and the birthday thread will automatically get posted from your account

Once the thread is posted you can click on the edit link to edit it if you like But otherwise it will be the standard message (as it uses the same one for everyone). Or would you prefer to just make a post in the threads when they appear? (If so let me know and I can take you off the automated-greeters list)

I thought it was automated as well, imagine my surprise when my 42nd came in early dec and nuffin! not that I'm saying anything as I largly ignored it this year due to such a lousy time this year I just didn't wanna know, but you can add me as well!

Hi Guys, just a quick note to say this thread/initiative is separate from the Birthday Emails - those are sent to everyone so long as you haven't un-ticked the box that says receive emails from admin in your options. So if you don't get a birthday email, check that your email is correct and if it is check your spam folder. They are sent out to everyone

I just checked your profile and you have your settings as 'hide age and dob' - the birthday threads will only be created if the option is set to 'show'. Glad you got the email tho
