Birthday cake disaster!

I have made a cake for Kyla's (my great granddaughter) birthday.
As I took the sponges out of the oven, I dropped the first one that cracked the sponge
As I tipped them out of the tins the second one broke
When I came to decorate it I had no Jellytots which is what she specifically asked for
Anyway it's surprising what you can do with some butter cream, icing and chocolate buttons

Ooh. Looks gorgeous. Don't tell anyone that you dropped it & no one will know.

Hehe, I only dropped it onto the worktop, you can see where the butter cream sticks it together!

It's lovely and she will love it and you are a 'great' great great grandmother for making it!

And it beats hands down anything I could produce.

*last time I tried making a sponge it looked like an old flattened beret someone had chucked on the worktop!

Reminds me of a cake disaster I had once, I am normally very good with cakes Thanks to my Mum. Well I brought new tins and I COULD NOT get the cake out of them, ended up with cake pieces, so I crumbled it all up into a bowl, mixed in honey and made little balls, and rolled them in melted chocolate and let them set in the fridge!!

OH MY!!! my waistline didn't thank me for that

It looks lovely Nippy, its getting broken up where its going anyway. Put one of the cake wrappers around it that you can buy, then no one will see the join

She'll forget about the jelly tots as soon as she claps eys on it!
