Day Care 4 Paws - New Dog Day Care Centre coming to County Durham!

As the title says, the website is all about Day Care 4 Paws, a new and unique (to the area) facility opening in the Derwentside area of County Durham soon.

Day Care 4 Paws will offer a supervised free play area for dogs and puppies, a separate area for young puppies and/or elderly dogs, a relaxation area and the premises also include a fully enclosed outdoor area too for further fun and games. Think of a creche, only with friendly dogs as opposed to kids. Think toys, games, agility, ball pools, sand pits, paddling pools (in the summer onth), balls, frisbees, bacon flavoured bubbles..... imagine all the fun your four-legged friend could have!

The website features an Our Friends page including links to animal welfare charities, a few general pet forums, a couple of quality local breeders whom we know and of course Dogsey

Any dog or puppy aged over 12 weeks will be considered (castrated males only initially though as we will not have facilities to segregate males from females so can't risk having any "extra" fun and games going on ) - a free assessment will be conducted to ensure all dogs are dog friendly and will actually be able to enjoy their time at Day Care 4 Paws.

We will also be offering a grooming, training and microchipping service too.

We're open Mon-Fri from 07:30 til 18:30 and are considering a pick up and drop off service too but this is not set in stone yet. We are taking provisional bookings and enquiries now before our Grand Opening and will have a waiting list once our first places are filled. Any size or breed will be accepted (aside from those registered on the Dangerous Dogs list, naturally for insurance purposes!)

With enquiries coming in from all over Consett, Blackhill, Shotley Bridge, Lanchester, Ebchester, Medomsley, Stanley, Burnopfield and well beyond. Ranging from County Durham to Northumberland and also into Gateshead and Tyne and Wear. We're perfectly situated to be enroute or thereabouts for lots of people commuting to and from work in all directions.

Our website can be found here:

Spooky!

I pinched it from my other half so I'm not a true born Liddell so I suppose you win. Lol.

Ahhh but y'never know when things like that might be asked in a pub quiz then bobs'yer'uncle, you're the only person in the quiz that gets that answer right!

The only thing I've heard about the surname is the link to Alice in Wonderland and possibly Ravensworth Estate? Have you heard of that one? Think thats for my version with the double L.

think it originated from Liddesdale and the border rievers.
Some people on old census as Liddle and Liddell so obviously typo,s existed in 1811.

Lol yes, how true! My mum has recently found out her maiden name actually might have been a typo from many years ago so she might never have technically been what she always believed she was!

We've announced the date of our first OPEN DAY now.
Hope some local people may be able to make it over (let us know you're off Dogsey!)

It will be on Sunday 1st April between 10am-4pm and special guests include a pet photographer who will be doing mini photo shoots for peoples' dogs/puppies on the day, some local doggy companies including Pet-Isserie and Dogzdinner, some local animal rehoming charities/rehoming centres and many more!

Come along for a fab day out. We're also going to be offering FREE assessments for your dog/puppy for those who may be interested in enrolling on our Day Care Register too (no obligation of course).

PHEW! What a whirlwind week!

Just thought I'd update this thread to let those who have read it know that our Open Day went swimmingly well and we easily topped 50 visitors in the space of a few hours. (And most people had a dog or puppy wiht them so weren't there just for the free cuppa ) (Hehe!)

We have announced the dates for our first run of Dog Training and Puppy Classes (both starting in May) so we're hoping to fill those (places are limited so early enrolment is recommended). Then its just a case of slowly building up our reputation and name in our local area so please spread the word if you are reading this and happen to be in the North East or know anyone who is

Hi Sarah

Just a quick note to say all threads from the 'Your Websites' section have been moved back into the submissions section (that isn't on the public forum) as we have updated the rules.

To get your thread moved back into the Your Websites section you just need to add your link to the new Dogsey Directory

Once you are in the new Dogsey Directory, just post a note in this thread and a Mod will check it and move it back to the Your Websites section. Alternatively, you can post a new thread in this section if you prefer.

You can see the the new rules here.

If you have any questions, just post in this thread and we'll get back to you. (We'll delete these posts if/when the thread is moved back into the main Your Websites seciton.)
