Autumnwatch 2012

I am not usually all that bothered about catching every episode of Autumnwatch because it is mainly birdy. This year was great though - probably because it was in my fave place in the world ... the Highlands It also featured plenty of mammals and I always enjoy the red deer rut.

I love any of those programmes, doesnt matter what time of year they are on. I've got a bit of a 'thing' for Chris Packham I think as I grew up watching the Really Wild Show and he's such a knowledgeable bloke.

When I went to Calke Park yesterday I heard a red deer stag bellowing, didnt catch a glimpse of him though. They also have red deer at Wollaton Park so I might take my camera there.

I watched it again this year. Very enjoyable. Managed to get a few pics on the red button again this year too which is always nice.

Aigas (where they were based) is a cool place and they run some interesting programmes even if they are expensive.
