Strangely the article states pitbull cross then later says it wasnt a banned breed. Ridiculously both could be true due to the silly legislation that means a dog could have pitbull in its breeding yet not fit the guidance given of what a "pitbull type" is. On the other side of the same coin a dog could have no pitbull in its breeding yet illegally fit the "type"

I wonder if it's more to do with the fact that the man had a seizure so there was a reason for the attack and that the dog has already been put to sleep.

It would seem pointless to press a prosecution in a case like this one

According to the media it's ALWAYS a "pit bull mix" if it has short hair. Who knows what the dog really was? But the media has to jump on that bandwagon.
