NO, NO, NO, NO, NO AND AGAIN NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can perhaps tell I am rather against this idea I detest Herr Salmond and I'm a proud British citizen. Yes I'm Scottish and damn proud of that fact but I'm British first and foremost, and I can honestly say that I would bear arms to defend that fact.

I'm with you completely. Proud to be Scottish but not convinced that Independence is the way to go, nor do I see what it would achieve other than a huge return to the Scottish/English divide and animosity

In all honesty I don't really know the ins and outs of it but... no! I think it's a terrible idea tbh.

i would hope scots would reply

interesting the first 3 that do are anti

im english and im pro

i think it would improve relations between scotland and england. their wouldnt be border controls or passports required, or anything like that.

it would be interesting to see if an independant scotland would share the SNP's enthusiasm for joining the EU, or would vote no in a referendum?

i admire alex salmond and SNP policies in general

Thats a big bit of my problem - the chances of us actually getting the facts before we decide is slim to none

I dont think it is a good idea. We would be such a tiny voice in europe

I see no benefit from gaining independence, maybe 30 years ago we could have financially managed but not now.

I like being part of the UK and am proud to be British......not so proud of being Scottish mostly

don't know really, I think in some ways yes and in some ways no, then its a case of you can't just have the good bits can you !

For a lot of reasons I think in a lot of areas it would improve things but for others I think we would suffer, so its a hard thing to decide, however we do have a lot of different laws already so have some independence but financially is a much bigger picture and deeper much deeper research would have to be done..
