Couldn't give a monkeys about it!!

Won't be watching it, don't actually care what anyone wears or who attends....

Besides, we had a new shed delivered today, so we'll probably spend tomorrow putting it together, exciting times indeed!

I shall be watching not as a Royalist but because it is history in the making, the wedding of a future king.

I am old enough to remember the Queen's Coronation with the street party and going up to collect my mug (all the children in the village received one) .

Since then I have seen all the great state occasions, the funeral of Winston Churchill, all the royal weddings and funerals and having witnessed them I feel I too have taken a small part in the history of this country.

So glad I am not alone with my memories

I am getting quite excited, I love all the pomp and ceremony and mass hysteria
I've got my hat, flag and loads of sweeties and nibbles and I will be sat here all on my own watching it.
Hubby will be in the garden/walking Peps and generally being a killjoy!

I now have the Bucks Fizz chilling, the strawberries in the fridge with the Champers and cream; an early walk in the Bluebell Wood, followed by Bucks Fizz and scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast, then watching the day unfold, followed by High Tea with Champers, Strawberries and cream, the height of Britishness!

Jen I am sure Pepsi will join you for the nibbles .

Do you remember the Coronation , very few people had televisions in those days, a neighbour purchased one with a 6 inch screen for the occasion and we all squeezed into their house to watch. It's a bit different these days with wide screen colour TVs.
