My dog is not on a "raw diet" per se. I give her a half can of special dog
food formulated especially for dogs with hip and joint problems. But, I
also cook for her every night. I make her brown rice, spinach, carrots,
and green beans and add some fat free gravy. The vitamins I give her
are Ester C (which is better than regular vitamin C because the body
absorbs more of it), vitamin E, multi-vitamin and selenium.

That sounds great Leslie

Well I think its safe to say, Luna has a problem with chicken....

I fed her chicken necks for breakfast.. Had put newspapers on the kitchenfloor as she had a "break of wind" just as I was about to leave, and I thought better safe than sorry (didnt have time to take her out again.. would miss my train for work)

And when I came home, bingo.. The "funny" thing is.. most of it was normal and with a "pool" of runny around and on top... So is it simply getting through her system faster than other things?

She wasnt home alone longer than usual...

I've given her the actimel with her dinner and she didnt poop on her afternoon walk..

It can only be the chicken... There's nothing else, she hasnt had the other days..

I know that their systems are so sensitive and any deviation from their
normal diet can make them ill. Sometimes when my dog poops, it's firm,
but there's a bit of mucous coating around it. Very odd.

I would be leery about feeding your dog chicken right now, though. With
this bird flu thing going on, who knows what could happen. Especially
with raw chicken, you don't know what bacteria is in it, etc. They say
that this bird flu virus can mutate and be transmissable other ways.

I know if your dog's stomach seems to be upset, they recommend cooked
ground beef and white rice. Seems to help. I think it binds them up a
bit and soothes their stomachs.

Thank you Leslie

This chicken is something I bought about 2 months ago, and it is from chickens who are kept inside.. Or so we are promised anyway.

But as she reacts like she does, just makes me certain its the chicken.. So now I have to make a schedule for what to feed.. As I have to find something instead.

And find someone, who might like to buy about 17 kg chicken in various cutouts

Bellaluna:

With chicken, I would also worry about salmonella. I'm reluctant to eat
chicken myself.

In regards to nutrition for my dog, I base my opinions on what is healthy
for humans. Whenever I have an apple I always split it with her. I
always have fresh, steamed broccoli for dinner and of course I give her
some of that. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I have a dog who will
eat absolutely anything!!!! (Including goose poop, a rock (once) and
a sewing needle which fortunately pierced through her tongue and didn't
go down her throat). She loves her fruits and vegetables. Can't go
wrong there.

I just happened upon your picture of your baby sleeping. What a cutie
pie!! I wish I was able to post pics of my dog. Unfortunately, I don't
have a computer at home or a digital camera.

Back to leaving chicken out then B/L. So thats only 2 dys clear without d/rear this time?

Cut the chicken out & see how she goes. She`s getting 3 large dollops of cultura & starting half an actimel 4 dys a week right? Lets see how that goes

No just remember cultura is liquid, so maybe 3tbs isn`t enough, fact I don`t think it will be. I`ll get my measuring jug & look, right measure it out & give her 125ml daily
