1st Attempt

I love to bake cakes but never really decorated them so I thought it was about time I tried - Bl**dy Hell how fiddly is it?? Enjoyed playing even though it's taken me all afternoon

What do you think??? Ignore the piping, it definatley needs work

It's a marble choc/vanilla cake, covered in chocolate butter cream icing

Mmmm, mmmm, mmmmmmmmmmmmm my favourite, it looks fab, pity it's on a puter screen

I can't be doing with cakes, all that faffing about, all that washing up to put in the dishwasher Not for me, I have to buy them, and anyway, my sponges always turn out flat so by the time I fill them, they look like an oversized biscuit!

I will share a bit with you as I like cake and not icing!

I am now going to make a Battenburg for my Mum. Last time I made one the pink half wasn't pink so better put more colouring in this time! I'm cheating a bit as I bought ready-rolled marzipan.

Your cake looks very professional I think.
