teething

Holly seems to be losing quite a few teeth at the moment (5mths old) i know she is teething but thought she would not lose the bigger teeth until she was a little older(yes i know im silly not experienced ect) just wanted to check this is normal ops:

Rocky was losing teeth too, but I thinkt the smaller ones. (although they are big cos hes big!)...

"The deciduous teeth remain for only 3-7 months. Beginning at about 3 months of age the baby incisors are shed & replaced by adult incisors. By 5 months a puppy should have all his adult incisors. The adult canines, premolars & molars come in between 4 & 7 months of age. Thus, by 7-8 months of age, a puppy should have all his adult teeth."

To help a puppy thru the teething stage you can get an old teatowel and soak it in water then put it in the freezer until solid. This cools the gums and gives them something hard to chew on. of course only give it to them whilst you are there and they dont chew lumps of material and swallow it.

I gave Sal popsicles, when she was teething she loved them soothing and cold and did her no harm at all.
