Good morning Moyra and all who follow

That is not good of your daughter's employer they are flouting the rules that have been brought into place to protect everyone and to threaten her with loss of job is totally out of the question.

You are right Kazz not on earlier. Last week and this week he is working nights so I can sleep normally

Not so cold today and the sun is trying to shine. Nothing planned

Hope all are well

Have a good day and stay safe

Morning all,
I have missed something too but I am disgusted with the way that some companies are behaving with regards their workers and legislation

Good afternoon all.

Beautiful day here again.

In a nutshell, regarding Karen. She 'phoned work, told them she still was getting breathless and coughing and they told her to go back to work. Big retail company. They told her she'd have to change her hours and finish at 11 pm which she can't do because she'd have to walk home if she did. They threatened her with the door.

She saw the managers yesterday. She still has to go in but on her regular hours so that bit's sorted. As for the rest? I'm thoroughly disgusted by it all

Errrrrr, she can't go back whilst she still has symptoms, I would tell her to call her gp... explain exactly what has happened and being said and the fact she has symptoms and is being forced to return risking the health and lives of others and state that she needs signing off to protect her, her job and the well being of all her colleagues and their families
Apparently theirs a form online that you fill in for self certificate for covid

That's not on Chris surely, isolating if it takes more than 7 days is the way to go. She could become seriously ill herself and as griff says is putting others at risk.
Really bad management.

Gorden has said has she phoned 111. If she does and they consider her symptoms as covid 19 she should get a letter confirming that. Other than that go back and follow her manager around.

Lol... good idea Lynn, be terrible if she had a coughing fit right by them!! I honestly can't believe the stupidity of some people. Steve had to go and drop some paperwork into work and he said they are still taking people out training...hardly essential is it??
