Help. 5 Week Puppy About to Die.

My puppy didnot eat anything for the past 30 hours. I took it to the local vet he gave him some anti biotic syrup.

But it is nite 11 o clock now. Its stumbling to ground and cannot stand properly.

It makes some noise often like something struck in throat.

What can i do to save him.

Can i force feed milk.

I feel for you. It must be heartbreaking.
Can you get an emergency vet to attend?
Or even one you can call for advice?
Did your puppy take the antibiotic syrup?

How come he is with you at such a young age. Can you get him to your vet, he needs to be kept hydrated, so keep syringing water into him, cows milk is not good for dogs, you need goats milk

Is this the same puppy you posted about asking what breed he/she way?

Hi Gnasher, Yes it is the same puppy. it survived the night and I took it to the vet. He examined his throat and nothing is struck. He gave him vitamin injection and one more injection.
He is still not feeling well and not eating anything.
But the vet has said he could recover. If not I should take him to hospital tomorrow too.

Hi besoeker, there is no emergency vet in our town. All hospitals operate only till 6 pm.
Yes, the puppy injested little antibiotic syrup and coughed out little syrup.

Hi tawneywolf. I rescued it from my locality. This is my first dog. I don't have much experience in growing a dog.
Its also hard to get goat's milk here. I force fed him with Luke warm buffalo milk yesterday night.

Sorry but I'm confused Gleaces! Why should you be so concerned as to the breed of your puppy if he is so ill? It sounds to me as if he has come off his mother too early ... this is very serious, you really do need to get him to a vet as soon as possible.

I realize your doing everything you can. And this must be very tough on you right now. But to be brutally honest. Having a 4 week old pup is ridiculous. Your in it now and need to do your best. That's all you can really do. I'm pulling for ya here. But after you make it through. You need to have a word with your shelter. They should never be allowing 4 week olds to be adopted. 4 week old without its mother is a tall task even for a professional/vet.

Good luck. Keep going to the vet for help.
