Thanks again for all the kind words.

I thought I'd feel a bit better this morning but no.

Fingal is home anyway and I'm just waiting for this rain to let off a bit before I go and bury him.

It never gets any easier does it.

Phil, sorry to read this, I do remember some of the threads and photos you posted of Fingal, and there's no easy way to get over the loss. I'll be interested to know how Skye copes with his going, sadly our Baruska is now becomming very old and tired and I don't know how long she has in this world. Rianna is the same age and breed and is fit as a fidle.

The end comes to all of us. Fingal is lucky he had you there to help him through. It's awful but it is what you had to do, and you did it. Well done you.

I hadn't seen the pictures-- kind of a newbie here. What a beautiful boy!

Thanks again folks

I let Skye and Breagh have a look at Fingal this afternoon. They gave him a little sniff but didn't show much interest. Breagh has just been bibbling about today as normal and I'm pleased to say that Skye (who has just had a lovely big dinner) seems his normal self.

Fingal is now in a nice spot in the garden and I'm feeling much better about it all now it's done.
