Sam, if you remember ask the vet.

1 How bad.
2 Can he hear it on the left side only.
3 Is his heart beat regular
4 What testing is to be done.

Try not to worry too much.

Hannah had a heart murmur detected at about 6 months of age. A few months later it had disappeared. This often happens with Boxers. It is as well though to get a cardiologist to check the vet's diagnosis,

Hope the tests will prove that there is nothing to be concerned about.

Shadowboxer, you mentioned that boxers have murmurs that can go away in your last post. As well as puppy murmurs that disappear can an illness cause a temporary murmur

Sam like Shadowboxer says try not to worry to much the vet told me that Saffy had a murmur at 6 months. Iv taken her back since and the vet cant hear it now but is keeping a check on her and wants to check again at 1 year.
