Ruby Update

I went to go and see ruby today, she was fine, i spoke to the girl who was bitten by ruby and got the full story, basically she went to check rubys ears and ruby freaked out and bit the girl, ruby punctured her finger right the way through, severing a vein.

I did a full check over on ruby, her ears are fine no redness no residue, perfectly healthy ears.

As some will know ruby has lived with me from when she was 4 months old to now (10 months), she was my dog but on paper belonged to the kennels.

After a very very tough day i have decided to let ruby stay at the kennels permenatly, she needs stability in her life, i believe the reason she bit was because she doesnt know where she belongs and who is her master, she goes back and forth to the kennels where i work. I left her there for a week while i went on holiday, in that time she bit the girl, i just think its best to act now, ruby is getting to be a big dog and id hate for this to happen again, with worse consequences. Im doing this for ruby, i only want the best for her, i will still see her 4 times a week, but for now she needs to be in one place and is now on a strict training course to ensure she knows who is boss.

Ruby was never MY dog but i loved her as my own and always will, i will see her all the time, but it was a hard decision to make to say she wont come back home again.

At the end of the day she only deserves the best and i believe she will get that, it just wont be me who gives it to her.

Breeding/working/showing. why?

No i wasnt lel she is the kennels dog, but has always lived with me, i took her when she was a pup to sociolise her etc.

Poor Roobs - at least you will stiull be able to see her gems

What a difficult decision for you Gems , your love for Ruby was always very clear from your posts. At the end of the day you can only do what you think is for the best (((hugs))).

Thats what i was thinking, she is very happy with all the other dogs, its just i did get attached! I just need to put her first
