My 2 bitches had a couple of spats when the younger more dominant bitch was vying for 'top spot' over the older but smaller and more laid back bitch. Once she was established as the 'top bitch' however, never had a problem since. I'd never bring in another bitch mind now they are settled in their places.

They also never have a problem with my mum's older bitch who stays with us quite often. I think they see her as a 'different pack' though - so to speak.

Yes, we have two bitches, they were speyed this year but even before there was no real problem. As magpye has said there were a couple of minor incidents (No blood, no fur flying, just growls and stuff) which was around the 'season' time. It's worked well with us but of course a lot depends on the two dogs themselves.
