Ok just a quick update. I have today been contacted by the RSPCA regarding the dogs in question. We now have a specific location and I have passed the owners details onto Carmen (NIS Rescue Co-ordinatior) who will be looking into the matter fully.

just glad to find out it isn't some sort of complex wind up!
I can't believe that the RSPCA couldn't give out some simple information to someone urgently trying to trace some dogs they had been handed.
Makes you wonder what would happen to someone trying to trace just one dog if they can't find 5. I think the NI's must have rung the length and breadth of the country and back again by the sound of things.
Would love to know the whole story!
