I would rather have seen some of the obedience heats, or perhaps a working dog demonstration (like the police ones that are on every year) than the HTM routine, but I accept you can't please all the people all of the time

Totally agree - far too many boring emails being read out and daft questions being asked!

Well I opened this can of worms so I had better come back in
First of all I agree about the commentators. Far too much time spent with them and I think Clair Balding is becoming a bit patronising. Ben Fogle stutters his way through, taking sneaky peeks at his script.
As for HTM, well I suppose it is each to their own.
Remember I am new to this dog malarky, so it is all pretty amazing to me
Is there anyone who didn't cry at the Friends for Life? I cried buckets, even though I really liked Sadie the black GSD!

it was infuriating having to watch dull presenters nattering when i tuned in to watch dogs.. the showing was even more edited this time and shoved on interactive which i can't get.. i remember watching decent amounts of agility and obidience but i was lucky to see five minutes this year.. and as for the HTM, the dogs are beautiful, but i find myself cringing a little.. it's not really my cup of tea...

Have to agree with the coverage. Clare Balding is such a cold presenter. I thought they could have shown so many more breeds and the competitions instead of the quick flashes that they did, as that is why we all tuned in.

it was mainly the BIS performance.. it was mainly the clown i think.. i just don't like things like that.. for the same reason i don't like musicals and panto.. i just end up cringing.. the dogs are marvellous though.. i like watching the routines, just not the kind of 'panto' aspect but i'm sure many people have a lot of fun doing and watching it..

i know.. i much preferred some of the competition ones (from the brief glimpses that the bbc allowed) but it's just not for me and - that was one scary clown!
