Thank you everyone.I think bluemerle each dog to their own really. But i must confess the hairy beast take more work. Also trying to draw sketches from photos that are not that clear as half the time you have to guess what some parts of the dogs look like.
The hardest so far was Benji for photo size and that curly head fur.
I do put in as much work and time into each sketch so apart from different dog breeds the work load is the same, but it is nice to draw as many different breeds and it makes you realize why different breed owners love about the breed they own.

Amazing drawings! I just need to go and take a decent head shot now

Do you only do head studies or do you also do full body pictures? (I'm thinking of a large headshot and a smaller fully body picture on one page)

I was thinking of something similar to this:

(Ignore the rough editing though - it is just something I put together quickly )

Hi Greyhawk,i do full body shots but i prefer headshots as i believe it captures your dog as every face is different of the same breed.Put it this way if say you owned a bull dog and i lined it up with other bulldogs you would pick your dog out by rather its face than looking at the dogs body.
But i can see where your going with the head and small full body shot on one sketch good idea.

Thanks for the reply I know exactly what you mean - I was thinking more of a small action shot, when I said a full body picture

Will PM you
