Don't think its a new saying; but do think its more an American saying than British.

Well, the shelves are finally together and not too bad now that everything is slotted in the right place. OH finally relented and asked me to help . His original plan was to get up early this morning and surprise me with them when I got up. By the time I did get up he'd nearly got one side put together.

Cheap and nasty, but they'll do the job. They are only for some extra storage in the porch.

We witnessed a quite nasty shunt the other day and the driver who ran full pelt in the back of the car in front drove away. It dawned on me today that our dashcam may have picked it up. We had followed the offending car all the way from town and they had driven erratically all the way. Fortunately, we do have the footage so we've sent that off to the guy whose wife was injured in the crash through no fault of her own. I do hope they catch the driver as they really shouldn't be on the road. It looked to be an elderly lady

Thanks to both of you The case was about a 41 year old (who had never worked) borrowing money from an 81 year old relative who was still working.

The judge didn't like that, and neither did I
