I´m not sure I totally understand what you mean, by if I´m reading it right, I´m "one of those"

I have trained Ally on blood tracking before and will again in the spring.

Hey

I do BH with my Vall. And as you probably know its the first part. But I do it in Switzerland so its alot more intensive (tracking, advanced commands, 3 levels of titles, ect). And I've worked SchH dogs before (Rotties, Dobies, and GSDs). Hope to get a GSD or a Rottie in the future to get into it more.

And I do tracking, my Gordon got her tracking title a while back.

All I can say is its a wonderful sport!! In the UK SchH is looked on as a dirty word but its not at all what it looks like I love it

Mainly because there's manwork/bitework involved - the dogs are expected to be extremely physical with the decoy (man in padded suit) at times, and often the photos and videos can be quite shocking to the 'uninitiated'.

Info on Sch: http://www.germanshepherddog.com/schutzhund/

It is the 'protection' part that people find alarming. However, a properly trained dog is far less likely to be gratuitously aggressive than one that has had no training at all. The control in Sch. is absolute. The sport is frowned on by the Australian KC too.
