The police are not allowed to use pinch collars or e collars, and this was decided over 10 years ago.

Don't know however as lives depend on the ability of dogs to accurately detect bombs, firearms and detaining people etc, using aversives would generally be counter productive.

I have been privileged to witness some training of military sniffer dogs here in the UK and without exception all were trained using operant conditioning.

However I have never seen a directive similar to ACPO and of course I have witnessed only a small sample.
