Dog shot in head by crossbow named PDSA 'Pet Survivor of the Year'
A Staffordshire bull terrier who survived being shot in the head with a crossbow has been named PDSA Pet Survivor 2015.
Ziggy, now aged three, was left wandering around the wood in Wansford, Peterborough, for at least two days last year after the bolt missed his brain by just a few millimetres.
Two members of the public spotted Ziggy and took him straight to the vet, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove the 20-inch bolt.
