I did just do a google and my personal view is that I think they look much more attractive when their fur is the same length all over. I just don't understand the other haircut especially as they are not going to be doing all that stuff it is supposed to be for. But I suppose it's just 'fashion'.

It's not just fashion Tange, the portie is used all over the world in water trials, even as life gaurds in portugal....they are always clipped in the lion clip, it's a traditional working clip, not a fashion clip, they are shown in the working clip, the breed standard calls for the lion clip....ofcause everyone has a preference, lion or companion clip, but it's part of the breed to be clipped this way......
