I was told many years ago males fight for breeding rights (ie likely to get into a scrap with other males if a female in season) bitches fight for breathing rights (ie once started it can go on.....)

Have asked GSD rescue for help in case a fab GSD home out there and will work on it in the meantime.
We had 2 dogs fight for 7 years and we both said we wont let them happen again as was awful for us all.

It is difficult when it is two girls?

Has there been any lead up to it (flash points around food/doorways etc)

Sorry to hear about your dogs, hope they are ok. I have been contemplating getting another dog but i dread something like this happening tbh.

So sorry, it's horrible when that happens. I had a foster dog fighting with one of mine and the result was my dog was at the vet with puncture wounds, my OH had puncture wounds all up his arm and the foster dog went back to the kennels. Since then we have had many other dogs here with no problems. It was bad chemistry. It happens.

I know its very hit and miss but Jazz really is very submissive to Kiera have watched them very closely.
It was in garden but not sure what over.

I'm so sorry this has happened, i know you had great hopes for jazz. The difficult thing is not knowing if this will carry on, or wether its just a settling in thing.TBH i wouldn't know what to do either.
