They were doing it in Sainsburys a while ago but have stopped now. I got some from a butcher but they don't get it all of the time.

I love hare but haven't had it for a few years.

I think rabbit has a funny taste, and smell, to it. I would eat it if i was skint though lol.

I guess you don't see it in supermarkets because the demand isn't there.

I've seen it selling for £5.50 in a butchers, which ain't cheap!

£5.50 aint cheap!!!! I think my local butchers used to get his from the local chap who used to go around shooting them in the early mornings in my little village I lived in, hence the price. It was very dark though, unlike the rabbit you'd see in the shops, but it looked the same when cooked. Never had myself down as a bunny boiler, but seems like I am

A lot of the supermarket rabbits are farmed so different to the wild rabbit. I've heard game dealers/butchers were buying them for £1 and it was something i was considering doing but didn't have the time.

Years ago I thought I would buy my dog a birthday present of a full skinned rabbit (inc eyes) from the local butcher, until I saw the price. It was around £4 for one rabbit!

My lot get their own free range rabbit now most days.

As a kid my Dad cooked me a delicious chicken stew, it was so good I had seconds. After eating it he then confessed it was rabbit.

No problems here, always used too eat a lot when I was smaller. What was shot or caught via ferrets, or the terriers and lurchers (the prior leaving them a tad battered!). A lot of my family still do, as my grand told me after the war when her children was small they used to breed them for the pot too. I think i've grown away from the taste a bit as I've grown older. But definitely aren't part ofthe fluffy brigade as to why I don't eat it!
