The coastguard and lifeboat seem to have been constantly out this year. People don't seem to have any respect for the sea and we have some very tricky currents here so many get in trouble very quickly. No matter how many warnings are given about inflatables, there have still been many call outs to rescue the folk using them.

Oh Griff. That's not good at all. I hope the insurance value covers the loss as quite often they fall short

I quite agree Chris and people who go of up mountains ill equipped...I read of one person climbing a fell or something in shirts t-shirt and flip flops!!! The weather changed and they had to be rescued
Hmmmm, well we all know how insurance companies rip you off, they asked if he had had a recent valuation and he said yes £3100....that was we buy any car and so obviously the car is worth a lot more....I have looked and I could get him a new car a decent one for about £2000... just need to know what he wants

Griff, if insurance claims it is beyond economical repair and write it off, if you keep the car at scrap value you can do the work on it yourself and then re register it for use. I did this with a car years ago I assume it is still possible.

If you don't then you want to know why? Speak to your local M.P. Good luck.
