Goodness Gracious!

It's been a long time!

Howdy all! Just wanted to check in, and say "Hi from Butedale!"

It's been more than 8 months, since I last checked in, and I thought ya'll might like an update. It's been busy, with loads of visitors, and plenty of beautiful things to see, (and take pics of!) lol!

My fuzzy neighbor put on a bunch of amazing shows this year. I was able to get much closer to her than ever before; (too close, maybe), and got some awesome pics, though.


She was about 50 feet away in the above pic, and didn't realize I was there until I gave her a big "Hey!!" Whereupon she moseyed along back into the bush.

And a couple days later, I was able to get some shots from above her, while she was crab hunting.


Also got to (finally) see my first (up-close) whale breaching, right in the harbor.


I decided one foggy morning to go out and see what it was like in the channel in all that fog; then as it broke up, I was treated to a couple amazing sights!
My first ever fog bow!

And some spectacularly beautiful sun rays shining though the trees.


The aftermath of a very rare astonishingly powerful thunderstorm made for an impressive sky!


There hasn't been too many Aurora this year, but an (also rare) mid-summer Aurora Storm provided me with an amazing night of picture snapping!


Of course, Bud is still awesome!

Anyhoo, I hope all is well with everyone, and now that the boat traffic has ended for the year, I should be able to pop in for a visit more often. (Yay!) Have a great one, and I'll chat at ya's soon!
