Personally i would consider raw ... my daughter's 2 chis are raw fed on nature's diet which she buys frozen from pets as home. They love a raw chicken wing and small meaty rib bones as well. I cant advise re any kibble

Mine are raw fed too but used to be fed on kibble and they did really well on it. Is Platinum the make or is it made by someone else?

From the limited info given on the ingredients, it doesn't look too bad. It has a high meat content which is good. The grain isn't that good, but, contrary to current beliefs a lot of dogs can and do tolerate it. It only causes a real problem with dogs intolerant to grain. It's not good that the ingredient list you previously posted doesn't tell how much grain is in there.

I'm a big believer in dogs tending to know what is right for them so if you have a fussy youngster who has chosen this food, I'd be tempted to go with it for a while to see how she goes on. Time will tell whether it is the right one for her

Ok I answered myself lol and found this http://www.platinum.co.uk/dry-dog-fo...gredients.html
It looks very similar to the range from Pets at home we used to feed years ago.

Yeah I found it and the full list of ingredients it looks fine to me and if the dog likes it that's what counts, it's not cheap but I doubt a chi eats much although saying that my Pugs eat nearly as much as my Staffie and more than my terrier.
