Berkeley.

Beloved Berkeley, the Old Dog of whom I have written before, has come to the end of his road. This day was a long time coming and I have been as prepared for it as I suppose it's possible to be, but even so I knew it would rip my heart out.

Yeah, that. Nailed it.

This hurts. I knew it would, but I am still floored by it. All the same I got to spend more than 15 years with the sweetest, best dog anyone could ever ask for.
