Yesterday afternoon Michael and I were sitting outside near the park at Sandringham waiting for Margaret who was in the ladies. There were 6 seagulls and one got really annoyed about a pigeon settling. the noise it made was amazing and extremely noisy.
Must be worse for you by the coast.

What would you all propose to do then? Shoot all the seagulls? They like all other life on earth have 2 purposes in life - to survive long enough to pass on their genes. Gulls are part of life particularly close to the sea - my opinion is if you don't like them, move!

We are not by the sea but get plenty here and we did in Harlow too. Who suggested shooting them ?
We were saying its shocking when your little dog isn't safe in your garden from them and its very hard to move when they also live inland and so close to areas so far away from any coast lines now.

Oh dear! Nobody has suggested shooting them, there are far quieter ways that I won't go into here!
The birds have been enticed ashore by humans feeding them, by the rubbish left where the gulls can get to it. Seagulls are scavengers and until you see how they can demolish a dustbin bag in seconds you will never understand the mess and damage they can do.
I believe that putting rubbish in bins and not feeding the gulls when you are on holiday will go a long way to solving the problem.
RIP little Roo.

Poor little dog.
However.... (I hope) people wouldn't leave dinky pets like guinea pigs and rabbits exposed and unattended in the garden, so why would it be ok for the dog, who was probably smaller than some rabbits? Especially when it was known that the gulls were there
