Assistance dog training query
Hello,I would love to be able to teach some of the tasks that assistance dogs carry out. I have had a look online and can only seem to find lists of what an assistance dog is required to do and not how to actually achieve it. In the future I would like to be able to work for a charity training these types of dog so have been practicing on my own dog. He is deaf so I have to use hand signals. We have mastered things like taking my socks off, closing cupboard doors etc but does anyone have any links or good books to read about assistance dog training?
