Have you checked the control panel for 'sticky keys'. If this is enabled, it will change the way your keyboard works. You need to go in and disable it in control panel, then should be fine.

Probably not a lot of help, as my laptop is a Mac and therefore a law unto itself! At least yours will switch on! My laptop has a ribbon-connector from its guts to its screen. This seems to be broken or loose, because when I boot the damn thing up, I get no backlight and cannot see a thing. It takes an hour or so of waggling the lid to and fro to get it to the stage where I can log into it! I have had to take to storing it open when it's shut down, to remove its excuses for its serious misbehaviour!

Give yours a good blasting from a can of compressed air and see if that helps

it helps if i keep the cap lock on, but that doesnt help with the changing page problem bloody computers
