More Dangerous Dogs now than before the DDA came in!

According to the RSPCA in this report:

The RSPCA has called for a radical re-think on the issue of dangerous dogs, just days after new government guidance.

NHS figures show a three-fold increase in attacks since 1991.

We could have told them years ago the DDA was not effective or fair!

I personally feel it is the cross breeding trend that has allowd things to get out of control. It suddenly became 'acceptable' to breed crosses of anything crossed with anything else without any thought as to what the possible outcome of such a cross would be. You only have to look in some areas that staffy crosses predominate and seem to be sold to the wrong type of owner.

It really doesn't surprise me at all. It's one of the most useless pieces of legislation ever

I don't know if anyone saw it, but there was a Lord somebody or other on the news this morning (he is from the Lib Dem Party) - and I was so impressed with him. It is the first time ever I've heard anyone talking any sense about the Dangerous Dog Act and totally agreed with every word he said!
