children and dogs- the way it should be.

I'm feeling the need for a happy thread about the wonderful relationship that children and dogs can have. Come on people - show us your kids and dogs being the best of friends, the way it should be.

Well I don't have kids so I can only use myself as an example when I was 7 our paperboys dog Sally had a litter and I begged my parents to let me have a pup they actually sent me on my own to choose my first dog he was great a little boxer puppy, he lived until he was 14 so was around when I was growing up and he was brilliant always fun to play with and a real character , my childhood would have had a big gap in it if he hadn't been around.

Please note - all these dogs were well trained and socialised and brought up with these children under supervision. Likewise the children were taight how to behave round animals
Dogs who are not used to children need to be trained to accept them and always supervised

Ive posted these loads before but their my fave so here we go again

noah with yoda(rip boy)..yoda stood up for him and noah crawled underneath(was their little game!!)

and ran off!!!

To go find sadie...

and do a rolley poley over her!

I will add though that although noah looks as though he's being maybe a bit rough with them, he isnt and in fact does not actually like to touch them much.
Though he is very close to sadie and i find when were out together she gives him lots more confidence as she doesnt leave his side(he is autistic)
