Our boys are registered in both of our names, and if we were to split up there would be absolute ructions squabbling over custody of them, in fact we'd probably come to blows! So we would just have to stay together for the sake of the dogs

Tried that one too, but the little sods wouldn't go

Me having the dogs wasn't an issue. My ex can just about looks after himself, let alone the dogs. As for coping, I can cope with the dogs a thousand times better than I can cope with the kids

I'm glad my dogs were only in my name when we split.
I don't think he would want them really but he would of tried just to spite me.

Well Cassy is registered under my name and micro-chip has my name on it, when we took Kip back from the C & D home I was the one put down on her forms & microchip. Both dogs are insured under my name too and I have the advantage of being the homeowner so if we split up Kyle would have to leave and it would be difficult to rent somewhere with two dogs also I dont think he would have the time to look after them properly It's a sad thought, hopefully we never get to that stage though lol. If he tried to take them I think I would have to shoot him
