can anyone help me? (no!!)

ok well i have broken my wireless usb thingy for my broadband and for i was wondering will i be able to wire my computer up to my sister as she is on wireless for a while as i need to find a better soloution for wireless internet so if she is wireless will i be able to connect to her like plug an ethernet into mine and her computer and then i will have internet aswell?! or isnt it as simple as that lol!

yo uand your sister both live together and use the smae internet ?

and your both connected to the same modem wirelesly ?

yup me and my sis are both wireless but my wireless adapter has broken so i was wondering for tempery measures wire my computer up to my sisters so i can use the internet via my sisters computer??

ok i get you, how far apart are yo uand your sisters pcs ?

it is possible but not strictly easy :S

if you both have windows xp and both have ehternet ports on your pcs then its simpleish.

ok, you will need an ethernet cable, a crossover one long enough to reach between your computers, you will thne need torun home netwok wizard on both pcs enabling internet connection sharing.

then it should owrk.

although may need tinkering.

wots a cross over one? and how do you make it a shared connection? i have a ethernet cable a couple i think..

you get two types of ethernet cable, straight through and corssover, to share beween pcs you need a cross over cable.

when you run home office setup wizard, in contrl panel under connections it will ask you to enable internet sharing.
