My OH is a bit of a techie geek, and he would never buy a Plasma as they cost a fortune to fix, becasue they are gas particles.

So we have a 32" LCD-TV (Acer) in the lounge and 28" (Acer) in the Bedroom.

My OH also did a lot of shopping around thats why we decided on Acer's. they were brought Online and around £500 cheaper than any other make

They probably don't go wrong very often then, because we bought really cheap insurance cover with ours. If lots of claims were made the cover would be much more expensive.

Very true, and I know a lot of shops are offering LOADS of warranty with Plasmas, John Lewis is 5 years

OH just kept telling me big names are going to stop making Plasmas? Souce? I have no idea, probably his other Workmates?

The Sony LCD we have on order was £3999 in John Lewis and most other stores locally, we ended up buying it off the internet for £3400 which included a 5 year fully comp insurance, the wall hanging brackets, delivery, plus the HD scart leads (£100) and leads for the DVD

It's a Sony KDL-46X2000

I should have said...I have the cinema system in the livingroom, the 28" surround-sound widescreen system in the bedroom, and a 14" portable in the kitchen...and I hardly watch TV!
