grass seeds in ears

I have had to take my dog to the vet 3X in 2 weeks to extract grass seeds. Has anyone come up with a preventative device...ear muff, hair nets, earplugs? HELP!!

I know that Afghan people use old tights or stockings to protect their ears just before a show.
Don't know if you would be too embarrassed to do this though

Thanks. My dogs ears and being able to take her out for walks, and my wallet, are more important than embarrassment at this point. I'll try it.
