Morning Lynn and fellow members,

I've been up since just after six, the dogs are 'sorted' and are now back asleep ..... OK for some It's still pitch black outside but I can tell there is a very heavy frost as I could feel it underfoot when out on the grass with the dogs.

My eldest son went to leave to go back to his flat late last night to find that the air.con and heating in his car had packed up. He is sure it can only be a fuse but he and my OH cannot find where it is located in the car. The internet doesn't even mention this fuse so it is presumably one that should be changed at a Merc. garage ... I hate new technology it makes it so difficult to sort anything on a car He naturally couldn't drive it like that so he has stayed over again and has had to beg and borrow a shirt, trousers and shoes off his brother for work today. Hence me being up early as he has his first client at 7.45 and I've got to drop him off at work. I'll be going to visit my Mum this morning (its her 84th b'day) and hopefully my OH will be able to sort the car while I'm out. My son will get an hour lunch break and has got to sort a new SIM for his old phone (he had his phone stolen in Thailand) but surprise, surprise the vodofone shop is nowhere near his work so I'll have to collect him for that.

I've only had 3 days since xmas where I've been able to have a 'normal' day i.e. no floods or sick Mum so I'll just have to wait another day

Lynn I hope Dillon soon re-settles now Gorden has gone for another week. Enjoy your walk and be careful on the slippery pavements.
Lacey I hope you've had a good night with little Lacey and she's fine this morning.
June I hope you managed to get a good night sleep and feel less emotional today .... maybe the former but unlikely for the latter. Are more pups going today?
Lore What a busy weekend you've had and what instrument did you learn the scales on .... I don't think you mentioned it?
Helena I assume Dave has gone off again today ... I hope he is feeling better now.
Daisy Sleep well

See you all later.

******** Doh!!! I started this post as the new thread and realised half way through that Lynn had then started the daily .... sorry I forgot to turn-it-into a normal post!!! ..... hopefull one of the mods will. Thanks ********

Morning Jenny I was a bit confused there Doesn't take much.
I hope your son gets the fuse sorted and doesn't have to take it to a specialist.

Morning Jenny, Lynn and all

Hugs Jenny, make some time for yourself, not easy I know. I hope your son gets his car sorted. I have a plan of the fuse box in my manual, maybe it's a heavier duty one as its for heating.

Had a really busy weekend at work, everyone wanting to enjoy the countryside on a rare dry (well sort of) weekend.

The water is rising around here, I couldn't get home by the south Drive, had to turn around and go another way, ended up going along the south downs way which is a anyway with some very big potholes.

The stables are expected to be flooded and the farm house by this morning, so glad we live higher up!

I had some sad news yesterday, my cousin who lived in Australia passed away, she was younger than me and such a lovely person.

I am off for breast screening today, this is the third attempt to get a date I could fit in so aren't miss it!

Have a good day all.

Morning Jenny, Lynn, Gerry and everyone

I know what you mean Jenny about those normal days, where have they all gone?? We'll get them back in the summer I hope. Happy Birthday to your dear old mum, it seems like only yesterday you went there to celebrate her last one, time seems to fly for me nowadays. Dave would agree with you about the cars nowadays, he always says how much he prefers the days of nuts and bolts. Good luck with your son's car problems and all the taxi'ing around today.

Lynn, I expect Gorden went off early in the pitch black like Dave did. I didn't even hear Dave up and about this morning until the front door went.

Gerry, flooded out again down there? I used to ride along that south downs way but further over of course, and I can't say I've even driven it. Sorry to hear about your cousin. Hope those stables don't get flooded.

Got to go to the garage this morning to sort this tyre out. I'm debating whether to have both fronts replaced now, cos this is getting silly, but my tyres are £140 each, so I'll ask their advice about it. I don't think it's the tyres that are the problem, the wheels on this car are very scuffed, whoever owned it before me was a *kerber* which means the tyres don't hold the seal very well. Anyhoo, I'll ask them, maybe they can take the fronts off and reseal them.

Apart from that, I have to go up to the van and finish off up there cos I never did manage to get back up there over the week-end.

Very frosty outside which is good, hopefully, all the mud will be hard when I walk up on the cliffs this morning.

Poor Dave was really bad again yesterday, and I tried to persuade him not to go off to work today but it seems he's ignored me. I can't see the point now that he has 2 fitters and the garage is quiet, but he said he'd come back home if he felt really bad, once he'd sorted out what needs to be sorted.

Eileen, hope little Lacey is back to normal this morning, and I hope you get to find out about that fire and whether it could have caused all this.

Sally, hope his Lordship didn't keep you awake all night with his coughing, you have my sympathies cos it's still going on here too.

Moyra, yes, we're on the Benalyn here,it's good stuff!

Night night to you Debbie, sleep tight.

Catch you all later then, I'm not even awake properly yet

Morning Gerry sorry to hear about your relative and the still rising flood waters.
Morning Helena yes Gorden did leave early. I was surprised Dave left for work.

Not sure what's happened this morning I put the daily thread up early then Jenny went to reply but did it as a thread which isn't a problem but my thread has gone and usually they are merged like when Helena and I post the daily thread at the same time.

I know I was up about four hours ago but obviously took myself and Da Booga back to bed so am still partially away wiv de faries. Only a minor problem and that is that my good eye will not open so my bad eye is having to work and it is objecting like mad.

So I am having to peer at the monitor from about 20cm away and am still not sure if I can read it.
